One Sunday Evening

This last Sunday, I decided to take some pictures as the sun was setting.



Reflection - I was hoping to catch the bird flying.

I thought this looked like a bullet.

This is a strange creature - it has antennae that look like a moth, and a head that looks like a metal spool, but it is definitely some sort of beetle. It is about half as big as my hand. 

She must have been trying to catch bubbles from this vantage point.

Tea is very much a part of Persian culture.

Oh, and just a quick "did you know?":

     We were discussing how old Canada was, and what the youngest country really is. Well, apparently South Sudan was just established in the July of 2011, due to a some ethnicity groups wishing their own country. According to Washington Post, there was lots of civil war bloodshed.

Canada, My Home

     Thank the Lord that I have this wonderful country to call home (other than the Liberal government...)! 149 years this country has stood. Oh may it ever stay near You, Lord. May its people remember that this country was founded on Your word, and that You brought the many freedoms that we enjoy and cherish. May we never take this country for granted. Thank you, Lord.
 

Don't let that delicious-looking (key word is "looking") sundae fool you! The husband-to-be (tomorrow!) is a great prankster and as a cook, was able to produce a concoction of napkins, ketchup, Swiss Chalet sauce, and a lemon slice (and a Canada flag as a tribute to the birthday of our country) to fool his subjects. (Please don't ask if I tried it.)
