Issue # 2: Euthanasia and PAS

Last semester, two groups did final presentations on this subject. What really bothered me was that one of the presenters said, "If you do not agree with this, you should not go into the medical field."
What is Euthanasia? It is basically, an overdosage of drugs that a doctor delivers to a terminally ill patient with the patient's or family of the patient's consent to end "suffering."
What is Physician Assisted Suicide? This is where the doctor gives the patient the means to kill themselves.
First, everyone suffers for a reason. It is a way that God often tests if we truly believe in Him. Sometimes, just because a person is terminally ill, it does not really mean that the patient is suffering.
Second, everyone who agrees to and/or does ever do this will have to answer to God - unless they are forgiven - because, in God's eyes, this would be murder. It is God's call whether to send a person from the earth or not. Assisting in killing another person - even if it is not directly - or killing yourself is not Christian (e.g. when Satan entered the heart of Judas, Judas killed himself).
Third, for all you know, the family could be wanting to get rid of that family member for inheritance (you never know, it might happen).
So, I do not agree with it and hopefully, I will never come to this sort of dilemma; however, if I do choose God's way and I lose my job, so be it.

*Just for your information, Euthanasia will be legalized in Canada sometime in February.

Damaris

Little Fratz (Ham) - just like her older brother.

Her tongue matches her sweater!

Making "cute eyes."

She loves playing with Nativity figurines; unfortunately, those are glued on.

She came in all excited, because she had a knapsack; I told her to smile.

Bundled up and ready to play!

At the office - tired and grumpy.

She does not like being put to sleep, but she loves to pretend to sleep.

Peek-a-boo!

Having fun "sledding."

Checking the water pump. My brother likes to tell the story of the one day that she got scared of the water pump's noise as it turned on, and now she is fascinated with it.

Watching Kittn eat.

Copying her older sister.

Enjoying the rides without the motion.

"Can I have Lea?" she always asks when she barges in my room.

Skating

One of my sister's was given a Christmas gift of a one-hour ice rink rental, so yesterday we had an enjoyable time.

Playing hockey.

Oops!

Time-out

N's favourite part - the Zamboni (ice rink resurfacer if you want to be technical).

Issue #1: Carrying the Rainbow Flag

School is a whole new world where you are an outsider if you do not accept something. There are "safe" zones where people can speak their mind and all sorts of things like that.
People say that homosexuality cannot be helped, because they are born into it. Well, of course they are born into it, because it is a sin and all sin is born into us; however, it is true that some people are able to be tempted by certain sins more than others (each person is different). As for it being able to be helped, no. No sin can ever be helped; it will always be there, but if someone is truly wishing for it to go away, they will have help from God to suppress it. There are still going to be failings.
Now, in the last verse, it says here that these sins are "worthy of death." Some people will argue that Christians would put these people who claim this to death. But that is not the case. Jesus already died for exactly all those sins that are said to be worthy of death; all we need to do is believe in Him and pray with heart, mind, and soul that we wish for forgiveness for our sins and we really, truly need His help to keep us from anything evil. Technically, even hating someone is worthy of death, because it is considered murder in Jesus' eyes. So, please. I ask everyone who falls upon this to think on these words.

According to this, I did not properly categorize what else is under "the rainbow flag"; therefore, the title is somewhat misleading, although I did not do this intentionally - I well know the difference between transgender and homosexuality and the "others" (they are normally referred to as the LGBTQ community with L being lesbian, G being gay, B being bisexual, T being transgender, and Q - don't ask me what that is, because I don't know).
God gave us the body we are supposed to be in; He would never give something that will not make us the way we are. Being transgender is more than a sin; it is saying that God did not know what he was doing when He made everyone. In a way, it could be classified as blasphemy.
As for Bisexual: if someone has a tendency towards it, then they should make sure to suppress it with God's help and go with the opposite gender.

Romans 1: 18 - 32

18For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Wisemen Seeking Jesus

Traveled from afar
Guided on their journey
By a beauteous star.
     James T. East

January 6th -  the day we celebrate the Wisemen's visit to Jesus.

Yes, even the Wisemen visited Jesus.

The traditional (or popular) explanation of why Jesus was given these gifts:
Gold - a symbol representing his status as a king
Frankincense - a symbol to represent his role as a servant of God (priest)
Myrrh - a symbol that takes into account his death and being laid in the tomb

What I am also impressed by is that these are all a very similar colour. ...

The Arrival of the Syrian Refugees...

So what do we do now?

Well, they are all here; the best we can do is hope and pray that there are no deceivers in the bunch who wish to take advantage of our country. Apparently, they are all Christians; hopefully, that is true.

Canada is a free and diverse country whose original inhabitants were the Natives; however, it was founded on Christian principles and those who come to our country must remember that they have to abide by those principles (mind you, the Liberals have taken away much of these "discriminatory" regulations and replaced them with barbaric infanticide and murder).

Upon Another Year We Come

The year starts with the name of Jesus.

This is what was impressed upon me during yesterday's sermon. In the church year, the New Year is also set aside as the day that the baby Jesus was circumcised and "officially" named. What better way to start the year than with the name of Jesus? Last year was not a good year. I was not focused enough on the Lord, and since I have started school, it is more difficult to spend time with him. Even my bedtime prayers became monotone. When I went to church on Sundays, I mostly spent my time thinking about how I would be able to work on my assignments and worrying about my grades. So my proposal this year: Spend more time with my Saviour; Pray truly; Love God above all things; and I must not be swayed by the college crowd to give up Christianity (I may be handling some of the issues that come up later on), my God and Lord. These are all things that Satan has run by me negatively many, many times. Inner battles. But we are all strengthened through this warfare. Eternity will be heavenly.

The snow came a little late this year.

Now I wish you all a blessed New Year with joy and peace, and may we all remember
The New Year starts with the Name of Jesus.
