It has been a while since rain has graced our countryside. This summer has the makings of a hot and dry summer, so it was with some relieve and thankfulness that we greeted the brief shower (and some thunder and lightning) on Sunday. God, in His wisdom, sent it at night, so it would have time to soak a little in the ground before the hot sun evaporated the water. Not only that, the small storm brought along a cool breeze to bring some respite from the heat/ humidity.
